AUCTION STATUS: closed

All auction purchases have been shipped!

BACKGROUND
This is an online auction of the largest collection of my work, owned by an enthusiastic fan who passed away in December, 2020. I am curating this event in part as a thank you for her support, and also because I feel a personal responsibility for assisting in the effort to find new homes for artwork I spent years creating.

Participation in this auction is by invitation and I would appreciate your helping me to make it a success. If you know of other collectors who might be interested in the event, please invite them to contact me at auction@bushprisby.com.

BIDDING
Original carvings by Bush Prisby are up for auction here. I have carefully inspected each piece upon receipt and, if necessary, repaired or restored it as closely as possible to its original condition. Each will be sold in the condition as shown in the accompanying set of images. Any imperfections are noted in the description. Prior to bidding, prospective bidders should view every image for carving(s) they may wish to purchase. Questions about any piece can be sent using the Contact page. Please be sure to include the title.

In order to bid on carvings, full contact information must be provided on the My Info page. Estimated values and opening bids[1] are posted for each item. These were determined using factors including the last price at which pieces sold (at art shows or via my website, email, or online event), and the rarity and condition of each.

You may add items to a Watch List, from which you can monitor and place bids during the auction. To remove an item from your Watch List, select the carving, then in the description, click WATCHING.

Click the bid image (left) on any page to place a bid. You may place a single bid or set a maximum bid for an item. Using a maximum bid, your bid stays at the lowest amount required to keep you in the lead and increases in $25 increments (up to your max amount) only if another bidder places a competing bid. If you enter your cell phone number on the My Info page, you can receive a text message when someone outbids your maximum bid. You may turn this feature off and on as needed.

If the reserve bid has not been met, placing a maximum bid higher than the reserve automatically enters your bid at the reserve amount.
If the reserve bid has not been met, placing a maximum bid lower than the reserve automatically enters your bid at your maximum bid amount.
Placing a maximum bid higher than the current bid automatically enters your bid $25 higher than the current bid.
Placing a single bid or maximum bid equal to the amount of another bidder's maximum bid will enter your bid at your entered bid amount, but the first bidder is awarded high bid.

This auction utilizes extended bidding. Any bid placed on an item within five minutes of closing will automatically extend the closing time by fifteen minutes to allow all interested parties an opportunity to increase their bid.

All pieces will be sold to the highest bidder.[2] By submitting a winning bid you are entering into a legal contract with Bush Prisby and agree to submit payment of your winning bids total upon conclusion of the auction. You will be billed for shipping charges when your order is ready.

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING
When the auction is closed, you'll be automatically redirected to your MY INFO page where any winning bid(s) will be listed. After I verify that all winning bids have been correctly assigned and recorded, you'll receive an email notification to log back into this auction site and pay for your carving(s) within 48 hours. Payments will be made through Paypal unless you've made another arrangement with me.[3] Paypal accepts most major credit cards, and it is not required that you have a Paypal account. All sales are final.

Purchases will be processed in the order that final payments are received. This will be a time-consuming process and your patience will be greatly appreciated. Carvings will be bubble-wrapped and your order will be double-boxed. When it is ready for shipping, charges will be determined via UPS's online system calculator. Orders will be insured for the full value of your carving(s). Please be aware that these fees could be substantial, depending on the number of pieces you purchased. You'll receive an email notification to log back into this auction site to pay for the shipping charges. Upon receipt of payment, your order will be scheduled for pickup by UPS and a tracking number will be emailed to you. Local pick-up can be arranged by contacting me prior to or immediately after the close of the auction.

Upon receipt of your order, please inspect the carton for any signs of damage. Unpack it with care as many of the carvings are very fragile. Keep all boxes and packing materials until you are satisfied that your carving(s) arrived safely. Please notify me as soon as possible to report any damages. In the event of a claim, UPS requires documentation of damage to contents and the packing materials.

[1] The opening bid is the amount required for the first bid.

[2] The highest bid must meet the reserve bid, if applicable. A reserve bid is the lowest amount that will be accepted for an item.

[3] If you do not wish to use Paypal, please let me know in advance.

I am planning to add a page to my website's carving gallery that features my work displayed in your home. If you'd like to include yours, you may send photos to me at auction@bushprisby.com.

If you are the owner(s) of either of the carvings shown below please contact me, thanks!
